Team Lydia :)

I figured that y’all should know about my team! I’m so excited to give you a small glimpse into who these beautiful women are.

If you look in Acts 16, you’ll find a short story about a woman named Lydia. She was a woman that was a pretty wealthy at the time, who was the head of her household (first off, go Lydia). She was wealthy because she made purple cloth and at the time, purple cloth was a luxury, so she when she sold it, she made pretty good money. She listened to Paul’s teaching found Jesus through him. Immediately after she met the Lord, she went home, told everyone in her household, and they all got baptized. She invited the disciples to stay at her house, and was overall a welcoming and hospitable woman. We chose the name “Lydia” for our team, because we want to be powerful women, who are unafraid of spreading the name of Jesus. We also want to be welcoming to everyone around us and we want people to feel loved in the way that the Father loves them. When I think of the people on my team, I think of Lydia. They are such a good representation of the Lord.

Abby Clapp: A woman of so much strength and integrity. A woman that wants to serve the Lord with every ounce of who she is. A woman with amazing character that is consistent in the Lord. A woman who strives for Jesus and strives to be more and more like Him each and every day. A woman with so much beauty and grace. A woman that thrives in nature, and thrives by doing hard things.
A woman I am so grateful to call friend.

Grace Smith: A woman who knows what she needs. A woman of great encouragement and great friendship. A woman that carries herself with such honor and obedience in the Lord. A woman that makes all of her friends feel so loved and so seen. A woman who loves to read, and loves to care for herself well. A woman who just really loves Mac and cheese.
A woman that I’m blessed to call friend.

Mackenzie Albright: A powerful woman. A woman who cares for people, cares for equality, and wants everyone to be seen. A woman who is so welcoming and such a good friend to all. A woman who wants to help other people in their confidence. A woman who strives to be different, in the best ways. A woman who is amazing at thrifting, and is an amazing dancer.
A woman that I’m beyond happy to call friend.

Maggie McNeilly: Wow. A beautiful woman. A woman that walks in obedience of what the Lord is asking of her. A woman that wants to show her love to all of the people around her. A woman that walks in freedom of who she is. A woman who carries herself in gentleness, and so much kindness for all of what’s around her. A woman who loves nature, loves dogs, and every living thing that God has created.
A woman I am thankful to call friend.

Maggie goes home on Monday. The Lord called her to go back home to Georgia, and I’m so amazed at her obedience and her bravery. I’m so glad I got to have her with me for the first 5 months of the race. I love her so big!

Team Lydia is full of powerhouse women, that I’m so glad to call friends. From the many giggles, many tears, and lots of hugs, we’ve grown so much in the last few months. I’m glad to see how much more God is going to grow us until even after the race. I love these women with all of my heart.
